Dr. Thomas Goulding

Dr. Goulding grew up in a small town in North Dakota, where the values of community and service were instilled early on. He earned his Bachelor’s degree, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of North Dakota before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 2007.

Driven by a desire to serve those who have served, he completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, refining his skills and deepening his understanding of complex dental care for diverse needs. Dr. Goulding’s passion for equitable care led him to North Point Health & Wellness Center, where he spent several years serving the underserved community of North Minneapolis. Dr. Goulding joined Gendler Dental Center in 2013.

Dr. Goulding is highly skilled in a wide array of dental procedures including traditional crowns, bridges, root canals, fillings, removable prosthetics, and extractions. A firm believer in continuing education, Dr. Goulding regularly attends national and local seminars led by top industry leaders, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest advancements in dental care. With advanced training, he is able to provide services such as smile design, veneers, full-mouth rehabilitations, and implant placement and restoration. He is certified in Invisalign, ClearCorrect, and Six Month Smiles, offering customized orthodontic solutions. With eight years of experience in Botox, he is able to treat patients both esthetically and therapeutically for TMJ and facial pain.

Dr. Goulding has devoted nearly two decades to enhancing lives through dentistry, combining experience with genuine compassion for his patients. He is committed to creating a welcoming environment for patients of all backgrounds and prides himself on tailoring treatment plans to each individual. He is passionate about empowering his patients with knowledge, explaining their conditions and treatment options in a thorough, comfortable, and approachable manner. His ultimate goal is to help every patient achieve a healthy, beautiful smile that boosts confidence and enhances quality of life.

Outside of work, Dr. Goulding enjoys spending time with family and friends. A novice guitarist and fitness enthusiast, he also loves discovering new restaurants, exploring photography, and traveling. He is also Snoopy’s self-proclaimed biggest fan and embraces the highs and lows of being a Minnesota professional sports fan. He continues to volunteer at Hope Dental Clinic, providing essential care to those in need.

Credentials

In June 2026 Dr. Goulding was the recipient of the Fellowship Award by the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), one of the most rigorous continuing dental education awards today. He joined 269 other general dentists who were also recognized for achieving this prestigious honor during the AGD’s scientific session in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Goulding is the single provider in Minnesota to have received this 2026 award.
